April 2010 - ORCA Privacy Statement Revisions

Revisions to the ORCA Privacy Statement are effective April 26, 2010. The Privacy Statement explains how information is collected and treated by the Agencies when an individual chooses to participate in the ORCA Program. Revisions to the statement include: - what data on the card is encrypted; specifically, data related to the rider's date of birth and the expiration date of youth or other fare status, if present on the card, is encrypted; other data is not encrypted, - what transaction data is available to an employer or other Business Account that issued the card, specifically the date, time of day, fare and bus route, ferry or train station where a card was used, - retaining the passenger type expiration date in the ORCA system when eligibility for Kitsap Transit Low Income fare is established.
